I am looking for the name of the Admiral on board the USS Calvert in 1954
Hi Edwin, I checked a few historical documents I have regarding the Calvert, but I wasn’t able to find the name of the Admiral aboard in 1954. What I did find noted “On 1 October 1954, the Pacific Fleet’s Amphibious Force was reorganized. This resulted in the … establishment of Amphibious Squadron FIVE, of which the CALVERT was designated flagship.” Regards.
